Modified Tai Chi

Modified Tai Chi is a class-based exercise designed to improve balance, strength and flexibility.

It is like a slow motion martial art.

The benefits of Tai Chi are well documented showing up to 48% reduction in falls amongst participants. It is the ideal programme to move to when graduating from the Otago Exercise programme.

Modified Tai Chi classes are running in most centres. If you have friends who are interested it is a great way to catch up and exercise together. For details regarding the programme, the entry criteria and the times and locations, see the ACC website or call 0800 844 657 and ask to speak with your local ACC Injury Prevention Consultant.
